Handwriting

Handwriting Policy
Picture
Handwriting naturally progresses throughout a child's learning journey.
At Thornborough from the early mark making in Reception, to more formal writing for purpose in Key Stage 1 - our children are taught and encouraged to use the 'cursive' letter formation.  How we teach this depends on the year group.  For example Early Years children will practice 'air' or 'sand' writing, Key Stage 1,  forming cursive letters and correct 'joins'.
